Lund Hagem, Atelier Oslo and Expology in collaboration with Bollinger Grohmann , ATSITE, Tamshick and Holte Consulting have won the competition to develope the latest addition to the Natural History Museum in Oslo, a museum of climate, Klimahuset, to be located in the Botanical Gardens at Tøyen. The building and exhibition will be focusing on sustainability and climate changes through time, and aims to create awareness of the challenges we face and how we can engage ourselves in the questions raised. The winning project "Changing patterns"  reflects the concept through the roof shape that will optimally utilize the effect of solar energy and natural ventilation, the construction and the materials. The Oslo Architects Association, OAF, will have presentation of Klimahuset followed by a debate on climate solutions, on the 28th of September.

The project is made possible by the generous donation of funds by Jens Ulltveit Moe.

The project is planned to be completed in 2019.
