The building is adapted to the site by designing a layout that follows the gently sloping landscape to avoid disfiguring intervention in the terrain. The placing of the building offers a beautiful view over the archipelago and sea.
The layout makes the most of the sun conditions with sheltered outdoor areas both to the south and north. The living areas follow the natural decline in the landscape and opens up to the outdoor areas on both sides of the building. They are made up of large glass surfaces giving maximum sun and spectacular views.
Using materials like glass, concrete, steel and untreated wood, aspen externally and birch internally, makes the building look neutral and in harmony with the surroundings.
